These are the questions Adelaide households ask us most before a move, and the ones Google shows when people search for removalists in Adelaide. Each answer is short and points to the page that covers it in full. Moving Company Adelaide is a service of Moveall Australia Pty Ltd, an Adelaide removalist.

Booking and quotes
Every quote starts with questions about the bedrooms and living areas, the access at both homes and anything heavy or bulky, and is sent in writing. How a quote is put together, and what it should include, is on our page about choosing a moving company Adelaide residents can trust.
Packing and the day
Wrap & Pack supplies every box and material and packs the house: see packing services. How moving day runs, from the walk through to the beds going up, is on the page for the movers Adelaide homes book for moving day.
Care, cover and heavy items
How furniture is protected is on the page for the professional movers Adelaide homes need for good furniture, and pianos and pool tables are covered on pianos and heavy items.

Questions people ask
What are red flags with moving companies?
A price with no questions about the home, nothing in writing, cash only or most of the money up front, vague answers about insurance, no business name or address you can check, and pressure to book on the spot. The full list is in our guide on how to choose a removalist.
Who are the best removalists in Adelaide?
There is no single answer, because the right removalist depends on the move. Look at how a company works: questions before a price, a written quote, plain insurance answers, an enclosed truck sized to the home and protection for the house as well as the furniture.
How far in advance should I book removalists in Adelaide?
As soon as you have a settlement or lease date. The end and start of each month book out first.
What day is best to move house?
Mid-week and mid-month dates are often easier to book than the last and first days of the month. If settlement fixes your date, book early and plan the rest around it.
What affects the price of a removal?
The volume of furniture and boxes, which sets the truck and the crew; the access at both homes; heavy or bulky items; whether we pack; and the distance between the homes. We do not publish prices: ask us for a written quote.
Is the quote a fixed price?
Under Moveall’s terms a fixed-price quote relies on the inventory list from the quote, and extra items on the day are charged on time. A complete inventory keeps the quote accurate.
Do you offer single-piece deliveries?
No. Our crews are planned around whole households. Heavy pieces such as a piano or a pool table travel as part of a complete move.
Do I need to empty drawers and wardrobes before the removalists arrive?
Yes, unless Wrap & Pack is packing for you. Moveall’s terms ask for loose items to be packed in cartons and furniture to be emptied of loose items.
Do you supply boxes and packing materials?
Yes. Wrap & Pack supplies all the different boxes and packing materials, including purpose-made boxes for clothes, books, heavy items, fragile items, TVs and artwork.
What should I not pack?
Keep cash, jewellery, documents, medicines and keys with you. Flammable and dangerous goods such as gas bottles, fuel, paint and pool chemicals should not go on the truck.
What is the most forgotten thing when moving?
The things outside the house: the shed, the space under the house, the garden and the meter box key. Walk every room and the yard with the crew before the truck leaves.
Are my belongings insured during the move?
Moveall holds $20 million public liability cover. Transit insurance for your belongings is separate: under Moveall’s terms goods are not insured in transit unless cover is arranged. Ask us about it before you book, and see our removalist insurance article.
Do I need to be home on moving day?
Someone who can make decisions should be at each home while the truck is loaded and unloaded, to say what goes where and check nothing is left behind.
How long does a local move take?
It depends on the volume, the access at both homes and the drive between them. Ask us for an estimate when we quote. See local movers Adelaide.
Do you move to the Adelaide Hills and Mount Barker?
Yes. The Adelaide Hills are on Moveall’s list of areas, and Mount Barker is on ours. See removalists in Mount Barker.
Which suburbs do you move to and from?
Adelaide City and 27 suburbs across the north, east, south and west, the beaches and Mount Barker. The full list is on areas we service.
Do you move pianos and pool tables?
Yes, as part of a complete household move, with extra team members and specialty equipment. Tell us about them at the quote.
Can I pay in instalments?
Moveall takes major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Afterpay. For local moves a deposit confirms the booking and the balance is paid a day or two after the move.
What do I need to update after moving house in SA?
Update your address with Service SA within 14 days; one update covers your licence and registrations. Update your electoral enrolment with the AEC once you have lived at the new address for a month. See change of address after moving in SA.
Do you do office and interstate moves?
Yes. Office and commercial relocations run through Moveall for Business, and moves into and out of South Australia through Moveall Interstate, by road and rail freight.
What happens if it rains on moving day?
The move goes ahead. Moveall runs enclosed pantechs, furniture is wrapped and blanketed before it leaves the room, and floors are protected at both homes.
